Rediscover &
Protect Your Peace

You’ve managed it well.
That’s different from healing.

High-functioning people often carry the deepest wounds — precisely because they’re so skilled at compensating for them.

You’ve built systems around your anxiety, your triggers, your emotional limits.

It works.

But the energy that goes into maintaining all of it quietly costs you — in relationships, in presence, in the parts of yourself you’ve learned to keep contained.

You are not without self-awareness.

You’ve done the reading, the reflection, perhaps the previous therapy.

You understand yourself — and still, something remains just out of reach.

Not for lack of trying.

Because insight, however hard-won, cannot access what trauma has buried below it.

You’ve possibly tried therapy before.

It helped, up to a point.

But you’ve come to understand that what you’re dealing with isn’t a thinking problem — it lives deeper than that, in the body and the nervous system.

You need an approach built for that.

Trauma isn’t stored as a narrative. It’s stored as sensation, reflex, and automatic response — in the body, not the mind. That’s why insight alone rarely resolves it.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) works at the neurological level — helping the brain complete the processing it was unable to finish when the trauma occurred. What remains isn’t forgetting. It’s integration: the memory loses its charge, and you regain full access to yourself.

This is why clients who have spent years in traditional talk therapy often find that EMDR produces movement where nothing else could.

I am a licensed mental health counselor practicing in New York, with a focused specialization in EMDR trauma therapy.

My work is grounded in a belief that highly capable people deserve care that matches their complexity. I do not offer a generic practice. The clients I work with are thoughtful, often accomplished, and carrying something that their considerable resources — intelligence, drive, insight — have not been sufficient to resolve on their own. That is not a failure. It is an invitation to work at a different level.

I bring both clinical rigor and genuine warmth to this work. Sessions are structured and intentional, but never cold. The relationship we build is part of what makes the healing possible.

All sessions are conducted via secure telehealth, available to adults throughout New York State. This is a private-pay practice — which means no insurance company has any access to your records, your diagnosis, or your care.

Q and A:

  1. Will I have to recount everything that happened?

No. This is one of the most important distinctions of EMDR. You are not required to narrate your trauma in detail. The processing occurs neurologically — you hold the memory in awareness while the bilateral stimulation does its work. Many clients find this the most relieving thing they’ve ever heard about therapy.

2. I’ve done years of therapy. Will this be different?

Very likely, yes. EMDR accesses and processes trauma at a level that talk therapy is not designed to reach. If you’ve gained insight through previous therapy but the underlying distress remains, EMDR is often the missing piece. Prior therapeutic work is not wasted — it often makes EMDR more effective.

3. Is telehealth EMDR as effective as in-person?

Research confirms it is. The bilateral stimulation and therapeutic relationship — the two active ingredients — translate fully to a secure video format. Many clients find the privacy of their own environment actually enhances the work.
